using consolidate


To use consolidate follow these instructions :

Create Sheet-1 to Sheet-3 in one workbook, rename sheet-1 to East, sheet-2 to West and sheet-3 to South.

Take new sheet in the same workbook (Total), click on A2 cell and type Product.

Click on CONSOLIDATE from Data menu.

Or click on CONSOLIDATE at the middle-right of the DATA TOOLS option from the Data tab.

A dialog box will appear.

Select SUM in the function box.

Click on reference text box.

Active the sheet East, select the range A2:C8 and click on ADD button.

Similarly active West, South sheet and add the same range one by one.

Check Top Row, Left Column check box.

Don?t check CREATE LINKS TO SOURCE DATA check box (If you do so it will show number of items separately for each sheet).

Click on OK.
