inserting cells, rows or columns


To insert cells, rows or columns follow these instructions :

Select a cell or range of cells.

From the Insert menu, choose the option CELLS.

Or click on the arrow sign of the Insert icon at the left of the Cells option of the Home tab and select Insert Cells.

A dialog box will be displayed.

Select the option Shift Cell Up/Down/Right/Left.

Click on OK.

This will insert the same number of rows or columns as you selected. To insert a single row or column you can also follow these :

Select the row or column before which you want to insert new row or column.

From the Insert menu, choose the option ROWS or COLUMNS.

Or click on the arrow sign of the Insert icon at the left of the Cells option of the Home tab and select Insert Sheet Rows or Insert Sheet Columns.
